Our Mission is to provide education and community development services to underprivileged and immigrant communities, local and abroad, in order to enable them to improve their quality of life.

In the Silver Spring, MD area, we provide comprehensive support services for unfortunate immigrant communities. This can be financial literacy training, career services, helping people find jobs, and getting their work permits.
We assist with stabilization and transition. This can include helping households avoid or reentering homelessness, helping putting kids in school, and etc.
We also tremendously help with Temporary Protection Status (TPS) and refer them to available immigration resources, helping unprivileged immigrants find the paperwork that they need to achieve the American Dream.
We offer community events for adults, children, and youth, bringing people together for fellowship, celebration, learning, and empowerment.

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who are passionate about serving others.

We are proud to partner with a variety of local and abroad organizations to provide the best possible support to the most needed communities.

Emmaus Charity Foundation traces its origins back to the visionary leadership of Pastor Emmaus Joseph, a catalyst for community development and empowerment in Haiti.
Born in 1934, Pastor Emmaus dedicated his life to serving his community, focusing on the vital aspects of education and spirituality as drivers for positive change.
In 1979, Pastor Emmaus Joseph founded the Emmaus Charity Foundation with a mission to uplift and empower the underprivileged communities in Haiti.
In the year 2023, Pastor Emmaus Joseph's children expanded the reach of the Emmaus Charity Foundation by establishing a presence in Maryland, USA.
